In addition to the Choral Concert Series, the DGCS also sponsors an Artist Recital Series. The recital scheduled on Sunday, March 14 at 3 PM, will incorporate some old and some new features.
The performance portion of the event will be provided by pianist and DGCS accompanist Jeffrey Panko and cellist Jean Hatmaker, who will be performing Brahms piano and cello sonatas. Jeff’s skills as a pianist are well known, and certainly all will welcome an opportunity to either hear him again or for the first time. Jean is principal cellist for the Civic Orchestra of Chicago, recently joined the staff of Lewis University. This is an outstanding pairing of accomplished musicians.
